We combine American talents with those of Haiti, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Vietnam to promote a self-sustainable life style for our artisans that will continue for generations to come.

OUR NAME:

The Red Thread comes from a Chinese Proverb that says that an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. Whenever you purchase a product from our shop you are connecting yourself not only to the product but to the producer.

  • EDUCATION

    We believe in access to education for all. Through our Donors for Christian Education Foundation, we provide funding for school buildings and scholarships for those in undeserved regions.

  • ADVOCACY

    We believe in advocating for our artisans, both local and international. You can rest assured that all of our artisans are paid fair wages, and that our products are ethically sourced.

  • COMMUNITY

    We believe in connecting our community. We host events such as crafting lessons, workshops led by our experienced artists. and other opportunities for our costumers to connect and create their own art.
