Donors for Christian Education Foundation

 SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE DONORS FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION HAS FUNDED THE START OF A PRESCHOOL IN ETHIOPIA, AND IS CURRENTLY COLLECTING DONATIONS TO TO BUILD A SCHOOL IN ETHIOPIA. THEY ALSO CONTINUE TO ASSIST ORPHANS AND WIDOWS IN HAITI AND KENYA, WITH THE GOAL TO MAKE FAMILIES SUSTAINABLY SELF-RELIANT.

About

Founder Susan Pettit created the Foundation in 2017 to make a positive impact in many communities by providing Christian education to the less fortunate to honor God and her late husband Bob Pettit. Bob was an excellent educator and entrepreneur. Susan finds pleasure in sharing the blessings she received from God in ways that transforms lives and continuing her family’s legacy.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the foundation is to provide holistic Christian Education to the needy in Haiti, Ethiopia, Kenya and other countries so that people’s lives may be restored through the love of God.

HISTORY OF THE FOUNDAtION

This foundation was created to honor the memory of Bob Pettit, Susan’s late husband. As young newlyweds, Bob worked as a teacher in Kansas and Susan worked as a nurse. Soon after, they began a new journey to discover and teach in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where they lived for over 20 years. Bob loved teaching and inspired his students that came from over 60 countries with a proverb “…if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish you feed him life time.” In return, many of Bob’s students often told him that, “Mr. Pettit, we are in school because of you”. Many of his students are now successful professionals and businessmen in many countries around the world. Bob lived and truly exemplified his life’s mission to educate young minds. This foundation was created in honor for Bob’s passion for education; through this, his legacy will live on.
