In 2015 my wife and I made the move to Prairie Village to be near our son and his sweet family. It was also much closer to a large airport so we can fly to visit our daughter in whatever city or country she finds herself living in at the time.
In February 2019, I was able to retire and found the time to create wooden toys. I thank God for His giving me this ability that I had no idea I was capable of.
As a retired Fire Chief, my first creation was a fire truck, which I gifted to another retired fire chief. From there, I was hooked. I made graders, dump trucks, and small fire trucks for each of our three grandchildren and for newborn babies in our neighborhood. I spend most of my free time in the basement just piddling on my new creations. I am so thankful to be a part of the mission of Red Thread.
